Champion of the Sulawasi macaque.
I am currently Outreach Officer at The Physiological Society, responsible for the promotion of physiology to all members of the public and education in higher education institutions and supporting early career physiologists to develop and share their research and further their careers in physiology.
By training, I am a behavioural primatologist, with an interest in the evolution of human culture and social learning. I graduated with a PhD from the University of St. Andrews in 2011, where I investigated the hypotheses that have been proposed to explain why humans are the only species that show complex, cumulative culture.
